You can use vMotion or Storage vMotion to move a powered on virtual machine to a different host and move its disks or folder to a different datastore. You can move the virtual machine without any interruption in availability. You can also move a virtual machine to a different host and to a different storage location at the same time. vMotion is also called live migration or hot migration.

This KB only talks about cold migration https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2106952 Question refers to Live Migration so D is correct. How ever there is a VMware Fling that allows for both live/cold migration that almost has no limitations as https://flings.vmware.com/cross-vcenter-workload-migration-utility also described here http://www.vmwarearena.com/vmotion-vms-between-vcenter-servers/ will be useful in real world migration projects

B is correct. A shared nothing migration describes the vMotion process where "You can use vMotion to migrate virtual machines to a different compute resource and storage simultaneously. " That's what this KB article says: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/com.vmware.vsphere.vcenterhost.doc/GUID-561681D9-6511-44DF-B169-F20E6CA94944.html. You can use a different storage location but you don't need to.

Answer could be B: Though I never heard an official term called "shared nothing migration" from an VMware document, there is a blog from Yellow Bricks which talks about it, http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2015/02/05/new-vmotion-vsphere-6-0/

Migration with vMotion in Environments Without Shared Storage Quote "You can use vMotion to migrate virtual machines across vCenter Server instances." https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.vsphere.vcenterhost.doc/GUID-561681D9-6511-44DF-B169-F20E6CA94944.html Therefore the answer should be: (B) Shared Nothing vMotion

The question is about the change of vCenter that is the host. Storage vMotion changes only the datastore. I think the answer is B
